A Vast Selection of Granite Slabs in Largo, Clearwater, Bradenton, Ft. Myers and all of Tampa Bay An igneous
rock with a medium to coarse texture, granite is a natural
stone that can be found all over the world; however, certain
locations like Brazil, India, Finland, Spain and South
Africa are known for their commercial granite quarries. We
at Cutting Edge Granite have made it our business to travel
to remote areas of the world to provide you with the highest
quality granite slabs available. We make the trip for you and import a large variety of granite slabs for you to
choose from, letting you get the benefits of top-quality
stone from across the world right in your own town. Cutting
Edge Granite purchases granite slabs from a select few
quarries known to produce exceptional stone, and we hand
inspect these granite slabs to make sure they meet our
exacting standards before importing them and installing them
in your home.
To provide you
with unparalleled selection, our 10,000-square-foot showroom
houses hundreds of these granite slabs. In fact, we have the
largest selection of granite slabs and the biggest showroom
in Largo, Clearwater, Ft. Myers, Bradenton or anywhere in
the Tampa Bay area. And, because we have new granite slabs
arriving daily to our showroom, it's easy to get the right
one for you.
Granite slabs
have been used for centuries to build some of the most
amazing architectural wonders of the world. Several of the
great pyramids of Egypt were built out of granite slabs and
blocks. For example, the Red Pyramid of Egypt, built in the
26th century B.C., has exposed granite surfaces. Menkaure's
Pyramid was also built around that time, and it was
constructed out of limestone and
granite blocks. Granite
slabs were also used to build columns,
sills, jambs and more
in regular structures.
Although it's
been thousands of years, granite is still one of the most
popular natural stones on the market. Available in colors
ranging from pinks to dark grays and even black, there are
options for nearly any taste. Today, granite slabs are
especially popular for their durability and longevity, and
these characteristics make granite ideal for projects such
as kitchen countertops, table tops and floors.
Granite is
also well liked because of its resistance to heat, its
ability to combat bacteria on kitchen surfaces, and the fact
that tea, coffee and wine don't affect its surface. This
wonderful natural stone can also resist scratches and
stains.
When we travel
to purchase granite slabs, we often visit places like a
mountainous region in Brazil that is especially known for
its abundance of top-quality stone. To get the granite from
the mountain to your home, dynamite is used to blast a huge
block of it out of a mountain, and the huge block is then
cut into granite slabs. Cutting Edge Granite then chooses
the granite slabs we want to import, and we bring them back
to our showroom so you can peruse them at your convenience.
